Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about building with Ironwood.

What types of construction projects do you handle?

Custom homes, casitas and guest houses, RV and boat garages, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, home additions, covered patios, whole-home renovations, and architecture and design coordination.

How long does a typical construction project take?

Every project is unique, and timelines can vary based on size, complexity, permitting requirements, material availability, and design selections. During the planning phase, we provide a detailed project schedule and keep you informed throughout the construction process. Our goal is to deliver quality craftsmanship efficiently while maintaining clear communication every step of the way.

Do you provide free project estimates?

Yes. We offer complimentary initial consultations and project estimates for most custom homes, casitas, garages, additions, and remodeling projects. During our meeting, we'll discuss your goals, budget, timeline, and project scope to determine the best path forward.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Ironwood Residential Builders is licensed and insured, Arizona ROC #364100.

What warranty do you offer on completed work?

We provide a one-year workmanship warranty on completed projects and pass along applicable manufacturer warranties on materials and products. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction continues long after construction is complete.

Which areas do you serve?

We build throughout the East Valley, including Queen Creek, Gilbert, Mesa, San Tan Valley, Chandler and Apache Junction.

Can you build on land I already own?

Yes. Bring your lot address to the consultation and we will review zoning, utilities, drainage and any HOA requirements before design begins.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. Permitting is part of the project management we provide on every project, along with planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination and quality control.

Can I build a casita on my property?

In most cases, yes. Arizona law requires cities with more than 75,000 residents, including Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler, to allow accessory dwelling units on single-family lots, and smaller communities set their own rules. We confirm what your lot allows during planning.

How much does it cost to build a custom home?

It depends on the size of the home, your lot, the design and your finish selections. We offer a complimentary consultation and project estimate, so you get a number based on your actual plans rather than a generic range.
